Canon sexuality has been an issue for shipping for all of... never. You're fine. I see how it could step on some toes to claim it's canon, or that Dumbledore shouldn't be gay or whatever. Of course the SJWs will whine, but they'll whine no matter what.

Basically. Also, death of the author, really. While I generally do consider Dumbledore gay, it's actually one of my big exceptions, because I rarely accepts canons outside of original sources.
