Yeah, that's pretty ridiculous. (I write fic, and I have this one series that a couple of people have enjoyed enough to want to write something in the same "universe." They asked me if I'd be pissed if they did so. Even if I had been, I'd have been ashamed to say "No! You can't write fanfic of my fanfic!")

Thanks! And yes, it was really flattering and exciting. We just agreed the fics were AUs of my AU, and then it was terribly cool to read what someone else did with the setup I had created. It was fun to see!
