He plays the same person over and over? That isn't good acting.

When the majority of actors, for tv or movies, do exactly the same I don't know why it's such a surprise. It's rare now for actors to become their characters to the extent that I no longer see the actor reciting the lines they've been given.

Actually, that is good acting that has unfortunately lead to typecasting. Look at Martin Freeman - same thing: People keep whining he can't act but he is always, always cast for "English Everyman" roles. There are only so many ways you can play the "English Everyman" type of character.
