I don't know if I see the survivor *committing* suicide, but I definitely see their grief leading to recklessness, to not particularly caring if they made it out alive or not, and to taking more on-the-job risks, or to being willing to sacrifice their life for someone else in the line of duty. Not a lonely suicide at home, but a 'if I don't make it, then my partner will be waiting for me on the other side, and if I give my life saving someone, then I won't have any regrets at all dying today'.
