I thiiink the point of the secret is that the Johnny Depp fangirls are ruining the show for this Sondheim fan? It's a little hard to tell, though.

Personally, I'm surprised--I've seen a lot of Sondheim fans gushing over the movie, but no rabid squealing Depp fangirls. Hell, when I went to see it opening night, there was a crowd cheering Sondheim's name on screen.

Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong...well, actually, the right places.

Reading it, I'm pretty sure it's a Sondheim fan going "ARRGH DEPP FANGIRLS"

But honestly? The only people I've met fangirling over this movie have been Sondhiem fangirls, or people who are both Sondheim and Depp fangirls (who are just going fucking nuts) The Depp fans seem not to care too much.

... that said? This movie is the only time I've been able to fangirl with my mother, instead of fangirling and having my mother go "wtf get a goddamn life fandom ruined your relationship with your host family abroad gtfo"
