I totally used to be a dork and recite that when I was bored in school. XD I also liked the other poem, the "on the day of the dead, when the year too dies" one.

Gosh, I don't know what movie you're talking about. 8D What movie? Is there a movie? It'd be nice if there was a ~~good~~ movie. 8D

I only got into the books about a year ago, due to them being utterly unknown out here, but I have been so obsessed with them since then.

There was a secret, a few days ago, with two boys from Earthfasts. My first reaction was "oh, but that's got to be Bran and Will".
XD

Man, those books were like the Harry Potter of my childhood -- and maybe it's bias, but I like them quite a bit better. ;) But as a result, hearing what changes they made in the movie make me furious enough that I refuse to even download it -- I know better than to court my irritation that way. XD

I really wish there'd been a decent movie made of it -- because how much would I have loved to see Silver on the Tree as a good movie. HOW MUCH. :|

They're seriously some of the best children's books I've reazd. Not to say they're perfect, but.
I saw one trailer and that was it. I think having a girlfriend who's loved this series since forever really affected me. XD;

I'd love to see The Grey King best. Not that I don't like the Drews, but I like the Will and Bran dynamic best ~~shipper? me?~~ and that's full of it, so.
But as it is, they left it open for a sequel and I don't want to know how much worse they can make it.

Oh no, they're certainly not perfect (I can honestly leave the first one, with just the Drew kids, entirely), but they're really good, at the same time. D:

Nah, that's it exactly -- I like the Drews well and good, but they're not the reason I read the books. I read them for Will first and foremost, and once I realized who Bran was supposed to be, I maybe geeked out juuust a little. XD But I can't bring myself to watch the movie, because the preview was just that apalling to me, and I'd rather not see my childhood horribly butchered for the sake of the silver screen. XD;

I think it's cute, that one, but yeah, it doesn't match up to the rest.

I love Bran so much. x3 The arrogance, the chip on his shoulder and I bet he's good looking.

I'm not even going to see the Golden Compass for that reason. I've heard it's all right, but this was from people who hadn't read the books and what if they butchered them too? So I just avoid it.

For me, honestly, the series really began with The Dark Is Rising itself, and that's how I read it. \o/

Oh man, if Bran ISN'T good looking, then something must be wrong. ;) Because I definitely imagined that, too. [laughs]

My parents saw the movie (they haven't read the books) and were kind of bemused by it, but my friends who saw it and DID read the books have been universally unsatisfied. D:

I always imagine Will to be all right looking, but fairly ordinary and then Bran's some.... shining beacon of masculinity. Sort of. And very handsome.

Good thing I didn't go and see it, then. x_x
I'll just go and see I Am Legend. Though I hear the ending's crap there. :/
