I read RPF but even I see why people dislike it. For one, some people can't tell fact from fiction nor do they understand to keep their fiction away from the actual people.

Also RPF and biopics are very different. One isn't made up stories of Johnny Depp fucking Kate Winslet while Bob Dylan watches.

Does it make a difference that some biopics and similar projects purport to be accurate depictions of the person's life but may or may not be, kind of like The Social Network, and that RPF doesn't?
