Sure, but, the majority of the time, the way women are sexualized is sexist, and the way men are sexualized is not sexist.

(Anonymous) 2014-12-16 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
Why, particularly the way men are sexualized?

Why what? Why do I say it's usually not sexist? Because when men are sexualized, it's usually not impractical or absurd, doesn't reduce the character to nothing but eye candy, and isn't demeaning. Most sexualized male characters still get to have agency, characterization, and an impact on the story, and usually aren't put in outfits that no one in their right mind would wear in the situation they're in.

yeah, is not like men going dress half-naked toward the public for a blooding day(and yeah, for the sake of record). plus the shaming(god, how the hell u managed to avoid such bitching).

I might have a more appropriate reaction if I had any idea what the hell you were referencing.

(Anonymous) 2014-12-18 06:06 am (UTC)(link)
like the way men dress. never find them attractive unless they make a move(having conversation or something). pure luck if some girl notice.

As for shaming(yeah i am a asshole for using this word), have you ever see men get slammed for their look? No, for what i had seen before. if do, some knuckles are going to get broke.

Oh my gosh, what are you talking about you horrible SJW? Men are sexualized all the time.
/sarcasm

ooookay then.

ayrt
I was kind of making fun of the "anti-SJWer" response to a comment like yours (which I agree with). Now I realize I just sounded kind of dumb.

(Anonymous) 2014-12-16 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
Nah. I don't think men can be sexualized for shit. Is like push something you don't like, every time.

(Anonymous) 2014-12-16 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
Expand.

......beyond what I've said in the reply a bit upthead.....?

(Anonymous) 2014-12-16 10:07 am (UTC)(link)
No, no, no! "Sexism" is treating a person differently from another person bacause of their gender/sex, or assuming that they have different capabilities. Sexualizing women while not sexualizing men is, therefore, sexist. Sexualizing women differently than sexualizing men can be, arguably, sexist (except if it's a difference that boils down to them having different sexual organs). There is no "sexist way to sexualize" one counterpart without including the way the other is. Making your statement redundant.

poor word choice on my part then.

(Anonymous) 2014-12-18 05:49 am (UTC)(link)
so sexist is exclusive for women? That's creepy as f***.

Now, who's desperate then?
