Wow, this is the absolute pettiest I have ever seen "blame the gays" get. Come on, anon, we're too busy sending flooding rains to Britain and causing earthquakes and shit, we don't have time to make people mad about crappy romance plots in c-list kids' shows.

But yeah nah, the way the show played out Jake/Gia would be textbook awful "dude deserves woman for existing" no matter what Ciara said in interviews.

Also, you seem to be misinformed as to what "queerbaiting" means, because every single joke I have seen Ciara make about Gia and Emma's ridiculous chemistry is clearly coming from a place that acknowledges the show isn't run by people who would let it go there. The "baiting" part of queerbaiting kind of hinges on cast and/or crew fostering a false hope.

Yes, I was logging in to say something similar. An actor joking about a ship or even outright expressing her preference for it is NOT the same as the people who make the creative decisions stringing audience along.

Also, Gia/Emma forever. I mean, COME ON. They have a special flower.
