Holy shit, anon, YES. I have a friend who literally is offended at almost everything about this game, yet won't stop playing it. I mean, she goes on about how fiction is her escape from things in real life that are already oppressing her, but honestly? If you water down fiction until it's nothing but wish fulfillment, it's not even the same genre anymore. She needs to find another game to play and not expect a realistic setting to cater to holding her hand over everything. It's made me really not even know how to talk to her, and I've got a horrible distaste for this fandom now without even ever getting into it. Although I admit, it makes me WANT to play the games now even if I am not even into big games like that anyway. But it's definitely NOT because I'm too delicate to handle a realistic story with characters full of depth and character flaws.
