OP, the interesting thing is, when they've done actual studies of male and female arousal (like, hooked participants up to sensors and measured their physical arousal while they watched porn/read smut), they found that straight women are almost always turned on by both men AND women. Straight women get as hot and bothered by "lesbian" porn as men and gay/bisexual women do.

That attitude that's out there runs completely opposite to what's real. I think there's a lot of denial going on with it and also maybe even a little bit of the good old sexist devaluation of the feminine.

I realized I should note the reason I put "lesbian" in quotes there is because a lot of porn that's categorized as "lesbian" really isn't lesbian to me because it's made by men with men as the audience in mind.
