now that social media has made it so that we can follow our favourite writers/actors/whatever and see their random musings, it makes them feel more approachable; and so we approach them, and if we are rebuffed or ignored it hurts just like if you had walked up to a person in the same room as you and given them compliments and they had totally ignored you.

It takes a lot of maturity to deal with that. That's why I can't really feel angry at the teenagers who beg for their favourite musician to just even say hello. But still, it's a lesson they have to learn: just because they can talk to someone doesn't mean that person wants to talk back.

I agree with this secret. I really really try to remember this when I think about George RR Martin, though. I know he's not "our bitch" and I truly think going "But what if you die before you finish!" is really insulting, but it seems to be really hard to "reign him in" in the sense that he must have ignored 59395020 deadlines by now and the publisher can't do anything because he's really famous (and his editors aren't fearing any better from what I've heard).
I'd never tell him that to the face though and I'll try to be patient.

So, while the tv show has its problems, I'm still glad for it cause I just want to know how it ends. Afterwards I can lean back an wait for GRRM to write the more detailed version. (I know not everyone thinks that way and I would ofc prefer to read the books first but what can you do...)

"rein him in".

Horses have reins. They do not have reigns.

English is not my first language, so typos like that happen... Thanks for the correction!?
