Exactly. I remember fans of it saying they had to watch it repeatedly to convince themselves that the guys were in love. It was just so subtle and not like those typical love stories where people actually behave lovingly toward each other, lol. I found it hard to believe they were even in lust, with about thirty seconds of random tent sex they could have had with anyone and one really tryhard face-smashing kiss. Why anyone, much less three different people, would fall in love with someone like Ennis in particular was never explained. The hype was so ridiculous. There are so many better movies.
