Me too.

(Anonymous) 2014-12-24 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
what fandom is this?

(Anonymous) 2014-12-25 12:10 am (UTC)(link)
I think Good Omens?

(Anonymous) 2014-12-25 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
Good Omens. BBC 4 is doing a radio play/series of the whole book. I gave up a few minutes in to Ep. 1 buuuuuuut apparently Tumblr loves it. So. Yeah.

DA

I'm quite enjoying the adaptation, but the emphasis is on adaptation. There's no way they could adequately condense the whole novel into a weeks' worth of half-hour episodes, so I went into it with that in mind and it's not too bad.

How it might be for someone who wasn't familiar with the novels and couldn't fill in the blanks though... probably not so good.

(Anonymous) 2014-12-25 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
same.

(Anonymous) 2014-12-25 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
I think this is probably people trying to have an excuse to write this pairing while also still posting for a large audience. There's not a whole lot of people who read fic for Good Omens compared to the people who read fic for SPN and Sherlock.

(Anonymous) 2014-12-25 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
This is a new thing. I can't find the fic I remember, b/c now everything is swamped with crossovers for Good Omens with everything BBC ever. Feh.

What are you looking for? (If you mean GO, idk about the other two.)

I didn't know this but wow that pisses me off

sherlock is a cancer

(Anonymous) 2014-12-25 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
it's cute how bitter you are that Benedict Cumberbatch is so much more handsome and popular than you!

(Anonymous) 2014-12-25 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
I guess he's handsome if you're into earthworm/pineapple hybrids.

Superlock fics are a cancer on the internet.

(Anonymous) 2014-12-25 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
damn I haven't heard that phrase in like 5 years

(Anonymous) 2014-12-25 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
Really? Seems like it gets trotted out at least once a week here.

(Anonymous) 2014-12-25 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
Same here. But at least my worst fear didn't happen, that they'd get Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman to play Crowley and Aziraphale.

(Anonymous) 2014-12-25 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
I have to confess I've always thought Martin Freeman would make a good Aziraphale (particularly if he channelled the well-to-do elements he brought to Bilbo, but far more... delicately?).

Now? I wouldn't touch that with a barge pole. Save myself from Azirapahle/John Harrison/every character Benedict Cumberbatch has ever played.

new BBC Good Omens illustrations

(Anonymous) 2014-12-25 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
Have you seen the new Good Omens official art by the BBC on their website? It's just up this week.

The Aziraphale and Crowley is particularly nice, but there's lots more.

Read fic that isn't just on AO3?

I personally dislike SPN crosses, because invariably they make the two Crowleys the same person. SPN!Crowley is far more of an asshole than GO!Crowley.

AGREED

(Anonymous) 2014-12-25 06:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Where can I read this for free? Just to try it out before buying or giving up.

The Good Omens Holiday exchange is running its 10 year on Livejournal!

Lots of non-crossover fic and art, as always!
