Mark Millar is one of those writers whose work and personality are equal parts shitty.

At most, I have to give him a little credit for telling people to back off from accusing James Gunn of copying 'Kick-Ass' when 'Super' came out, as while the two have vaguely similar premises, they're still significantly different in execution.

But only a little. That doesn't make up for how vile and mean-spirited the majority of Millar's works (be they creator owned or for-hire with DC or Marvel) are, imo.

mean-spirited is an accurate description. I guess that works for some people, but for me, that mean spirit just makes it unreadable.
