Did someone forget to tell you merry christmas today or something? Gosh, MERRY CHRISTMAS.

Anyway, I was specifically talking about the big 3D holograms on stage. Did they have that technology 40 years ago? Honestly curious here, not trying to sound like a jerk.

Late reply, but they didn't have 3d holograms, but they did have animatronic robot doubles and video projections involving laser-manipulated bodies on screens. For the time it was quite technologically sophisticated.

And since you seem to be concerned, I don't celebrate christmas but I did have a wonderful day yesterday. My comment wasn't intended to be as snarky as you and the person below took it. It was meant to be more of a "yes, and?" and less rude than it came off.
