I find it so much easier to talk about my interests online. Not that I won't discuss them IRL, but most people I've met don't want to go into too much detail. I can spread a conversation over a three day period here on f!s (discussing different characters, story arcs, etc) and I like that.

I don't know what to suggest, though. Sometimes, especially if you're shy and kind of quiet (I can be), it can be difficult to speak about yourself or your interests. It feels too personal or you might worry that you'll sound like an idiot. IDK if those are problems for you, but whatever your reasons I hope you can find a way to be happy in fandom. (Even if its just learning to enjoy lurking.)
