I remember reading The Grey King ages and ages ago and falling in love with it so that I could hunt down the entire series. I have one of my books signed by her and it's precious to me. This is the series that made me love Wales, Arthurian mythology, etc. I felt so damn bad for Will that it made my heart ache.

The movie was a travesty and I cringe every time I think about it. They turned that wonderful, close and loving family of Will's into... something that hurt the heart to view. They took away the history and the legends... they don't have the siblings or a bunch of other things.

I think a lot of people shipped Will and Bran because they possibly saw that as either the only option, or taking a serious dedication to as a servant to a king a bit too far... or simply, they had a wonderful, close friendship that could possibly be more. I know I wanted that child to have a happy ending.

I'll stop babbling about one of my all time favorite book series now...
