This is one of those times where I think case should've given the benefit of the doubt, because if the OP stuck "I think" before that sentence it would've made the cut.

Like, phrasing shouldn't be a thing when it comes to whether or not something's a secret. That's kinda silly.

I agree that it feels like a genuine secret, albeit one that calls out a particular artwork and so verges on mean spirited. Although awkward isn't too bad an insult for any fanart.

But most fanartists are amateurs, and a lot of them are kids.

12 year olds drawing porn, now that's awkward. This picture doesn't come close.
