I stopped caring about BNFs years ago. Then again, the fandom they were in (Harry Potter) isn't really that active anymore.

I love this thread. I came here with the intention to bitch about some actual fandom BNFs, but... no. Let it remain this way. It's perfect.

I have a really petty and childish dislike for Adrian Conan Doyle because of how adamant he was that his father's meeting Joe Bell played no part in the creation of Holmes :/

I can't think of any names, but that's because the fandoms I'm in don't seem to have BNFs to speak of. More likely there are handfuls of authors with one wildly popular fic while the rest of the things they write are ignored.

There is a BNF I detest. Not going to name her. It's almost as if she's allergic to character development.

$100 says you're talking about someone in the Game of Thrones fandom.

I won't lie, I originally read that as 'dated' instead of 'detest'.

I don't even know who're bnfs anymore.

Wouldn't say I hate her, but gyzym. I like some of her writing, but I find her and her rambling in the tags is boring and kind of embarrassing. One of those instances where it's better to just enjoy the content while pretending and not giving it much more thought than that.

I don't really know any bnfs in my fandoms, but there are a few writers who are kind of annoyingly precious about their stories in their author notes, and I find myself rolling my eyes. And, yeah, probably judging the fics more harshly than is my usual wont.

Thought i was over my Mark hate, but given that I immediately thought of it here, maybe not so much.

Not hate, because they seem to be genuinely nice and politely long suffering of the entitled fans, but getting a bit annoyed. Constantly saying they're going to update one of their WIP's " really soon" or around such-and-such a date, then they don't. And when they finally do make good on the promise to post it's a short new fic they posted awhile ago on only one site that they just posted on the rest of the fic sites.

Ugh. If you're not going to update anytime soon say so. I don't care if you're busy. Feel free to be as busy as you need and vanish from the internet and reappear a year from now with a random new chapter for that WIP. I will wait, and so will all the other polite fans of your fic. Just stop saying you're going to be updating a week from now when you know you probably aren't going to even have time to write because you're busy. As you have been for the past few months. :/

Queencersei on tumblr. That fucking bitch targeted one of my friends on her twitter, all because she ships a different ship. Next thing you know, my friend is being bombarded with all these dumb anons from queencersei's asskissers.
It was ridiculous! My friend never even posted any hate.

So yeah, fuck that bitch.

I don't want to name her, because I don't hate her personally. I just really don't like her artwork so I purposely avoid her blog and DA even though she is one of a handful of bnfs in our tiny fandom. Her ideas are cute but her style is ugly.
