So since most yuletide/secret santa things are coming to an end are there any good new fics you can rec?

actually there's a lot of recs going up on the yuletide comm, and I beielve both LJ and DW have yuletide recs comms.

This Yuletide woefully lacked in fandoms I have any sort of connection to, but I DID get an awesome gift, and there are a couple of really nice fics in the Rivers of London fandom:

1954 Holmes, The Adventure of the Shanghaied Surgeon. This was written for me. I requested a more dramatic take on the canon, and this is pretty much spot-on! A kidnapping! An exploding ship! BAMF Watson! Also, Watson's narrative voice had me guffawing all the way through. AND I friend-ship 1954 Holmes and Watson like there's no tomorrow. http://archiveofourown.org/works/2809280

Rivers of London, Reasonable Adjustments. That's just... Trust dynamics in the Peter-Nightingale relationship. I don't think I could ever scroll past a gen fic about trust dynamics, and this is very well written. http://archiveofourown.org/works/2842370

King's Speech (2010), The Call by cruisedirector. A friend has just sold me on KS and DAMN DAMN DAMN. This fic. There's little gen in this fandom, but the fact just makes me more appreciative of the existing gen stories. The depiction of Lionel's and Bertie's perspectives on their falling-out is both awesomely clever and very touching. http://archiveofourown.org/works/191166

I'm scrolling through the archive right now. I've read a few okay fics, but nothing amazing or rec worthy yet.

(There's no Muldoon/Clever Girl in the JP fandom this year so I'm kinda sad.)
