People keep hating on gawker but I don't really get it. Sure they use clickbaity headlines and their "journalists" are more like "half-assed bloggers" but it seems like that's the same as every other non-corporate media site these days.

As far as I can tell the dislike it comes down to:

- click bait and general brattiness, which fair enough but as you say is fairly ubiquitous
- Jezebel (I don't read it so I don't know what the problems with it are, but it seems like most people in the world feel you can just say Jezebel and everyone will agree it's the worst thing in the world)
- Deadspin used to be really scummy when a different guy was running it

To be fair, Jezebel is basically the worst. I keep telling Ari this but she doesn't listen to me (I think it's all the feminism or something).
