Re: What is your favorite accomplishment for this year?
Yeah, I've realised that C's aren't looked at as good outside of Norway, but here they are what you need to get into the Master's program, tho I tend to get B's in half my subjects... D is closer to the average grade than D is, but it varies. The last exam I had out of 14, there was 1 A and 2 B's, 5 C's and 6 D's.
Not the letter no, but we only get graded on our exams, nothing else, but the scale is like this, we are all anonymous, but we are also put up against each other, a set of things that they expect to see written (said) in the exam and it isn't always "our" lecturers who grade us, but people teaching the same subject at another higher education.
A: Outstanding: You know more than you need to, you show that knowledge perfectly and you have a high level of independent thinking and problem solving. RL example: I didn't get an A on an oral exam, because I was missing one sentence in my presentation. It wasn't even a huge part of my presentation or anything, but if I had said "The Digital Ground Network" I would have gotten an A.
B: Above average: You know everything you should, you present that knowledge in a good way and you have a quite high level of independent thinking and problem solving.
C: Good, you know what you need to know, can show it well and you show that you have the ability for independent thinking and problem solving.
D: Okay, you show that you know what you need to, but something essential is missing. You have a lower level of independent thinking and problem solving.
E: Enough, you know what you need to, but you are not great at showing it and you don't show that you have a lot of independent thinking and problem solving in the subject.
F: Fail, you don't know what you need to, nor do you show that you can solve problems or think independently.
