As somebody who's trying my first FPS play through on BSI, it's hard enough figuring out where the hell I'm supposed to go/ orienting to the world without a map that easy game play is my only hope for getting through!

Does Infinite not have a map? I thought it did... (Been a while since I played the game.) Granted, even if it does I doubt it's a very thorough one! It's easy to get lost in these games. (I did a looooooot of backtracking in the earlier BioShock games. Sometimes just to pick up ammo, cash or health that I'd left behind, but you can waste a lot of time doing that. I know I did.)

The story is what attracts me to these games anyway, so I don't mind playing on easy! You can always go through it again later on normal if you feel like it.

From what google tells me, no. So I end up following some of the online guides -- I wish it was more intuitive so I didn't have to and the whole thing is sorely testing my sense of direction -- I figure I'm learning though :)

Hmmmmmmm, isn't there something to point you to your new objective? (Like a trail on the ground or an arrow? I think the first BioShock had an arrow... You can see how stellar my memory is, having to ask these questions.)

I find that running around confused and scared will eventually put you where you need to be. It might take a while, but at some point you will look up and say, "Oh, I'm here" and everything will slide into place!

It does basically nudge you on to the next objective but it's not always clear what you're supposed to be looking for or how to recognize it. I figure observation is one of the skills you develop through playing more, though!
