He was needlessly and egregiously a horrible abusive prick to the kids he was teaching, repeatedly and consistently. Whether or not he gave them PTSD, that's still incredibly shitty.

I mean, Jesus, what is this? It only counts as a bad thing if he actually gives the kids PTSD? Is that the standard we're using?

I'd also point out that he was a little older than 16 when he joined the wizard blackshirts but w/e
