Ehh, I don't know if I'd call Dragon Age "Tolkien-esque", but that's me quibbling over the details between the two. DA has a medieval-style culture, Men, Elves, Dwarves, Dragons - even orcs, if you think about the darkspawn that way - but on a whole it feels more thematically gritty than LotR, which has a lot more straight-forward mythic "Good vs. Evil".

Believe me, I have thought about this because of my crossover concept between those two worlds.

But I liked DA, it reminded me of Baldur's Gate and hit me right in that spot where I loved BG. Bioware came through for me when I could no longer get my favour game working.

But I don't blame you if you didn't take to it. It simply wasn't your thing, while it was mine. I can't speak for the sequels because I didn't finish Awakening and I wanted a proper savegame to base my play of DA2 on. I still haven't played DA2 and I can't install DA:I until I upgrade my computer.

I still have hopes for DA:I though.
