I remember... I guess it must have been right before Goblet came out, when I would have been like 10, our local paper ran an online "predict what happens next" contest thing and it was completely full of shipping and slash and stuff iirc and my little kid mind just did not know how to handle it

I don't remember my prediction but odds are it involved like ninjas or elves or something. Basically what I'm saying is that I was that little kid at least for a while

AYRT - Yeah, I'm sure the other side of it was very perplexing. (If it makes you feel better, I never cared about shipping or slash either. I mean, I had ships, but that wasn't what I was focused on. Usually.)

Weird that the shippers didn't at least hold it in for something more general and less fandom specific though.

Hahaha, no, it's fine. It wasn't bad. It was just something that my little kid brain absolutely did not have the context for at the time. I have since actually, you know, gotten into fandom.
