AYRT - Yeah, I'm sure the other side of it was very perplexing. (If it makes you feel better, I never cared about shipping or slash either. I mean, I had ships, but that wasn't what I was focused on. Usually.)

Weird that the shippers didn't at least hold it in for something more general and less fandom specific though.

Hahaha, no, it's fine. It wasn't bad. It was just something that my little kid brain absolutely did not have the context for at the time. I have since actually, you know, gotten into fandom.
