What does hipster mean, to you? What are the defining qualities of a hipster?

As far as I can tell, there are two definitions:

1. Somebody that likes something I don't and won't listen to me when I tell them they have bad taste.
2. Somebody who likes something I do, but they like it the wrong way.

Some people define it in the opposite way:

1.Somebody who likes something that I don't and keeps telling me how stupid I am for liking something else.

2.Somebody who likes something I do, and keeps telling me I like it the wrong way and anyhow they liked it first. (Funny recent example: someone bitching online about how "no one" liked Hank Williams before Tom Hiddleston got the part playing him in a movie. Yes, of course, sweetie, you're the only person who ever heard of Hank Williams before now.)

It's kind of irritating sometimes.

Somebody who spends a lot of energy worrying about whether they like the right things, and whether liking them makes them a hipster.
