I don't have to pay for fandom. It's, for the most part, free. But, I own the things I really like. For example, I didn't pay for Farscape the first time around. But, now I own it because it's a show I think is worth owning. Same thing applies to movies.

i so completely agree with this. as far as i'm concerned, pirating is like going to the library. if i actually want to keep something, i buy it. that happens only occasionally. in fact, most of the movies i download i watch about 45 minutes at most before deleting. i am NOT paying even 50 cents for something that isn't even worth watching the entirety of.

i also pay for netflix and hulu, so i figure that if your movie/tv show isn't on there, fuck you, i'm pirating your shit.
