What's up with South Park?

It's pretty offensively idiotic.

More than Family Guy?

I think they're both pretty awful.

I find Family Guy lots worse tbh.

This. Anyone who says that South Park is more offensive and stupid than Family Guy episodes currently airing is crazy. Family Guy just keeps getting more and more unfunny and pointlessly offensive (because when South Park is offensive, there's generally a point to it even if it's a stupid point or is arguably not made well). For example, there was a recent episode where Peter is showing Joe and Quagmire something on his laptop and he forgot to close out a bunch of porn tabs. Joe asks Peter if he's looking at underage porn because some of the actresses don't look 18 and Peter immediately grabs his laptop and drives to a lake to dump it. The scene was over a minute long and had nothing to do with the rest of the episode (like most of the jokes), was never mentioned again, and the whole joke was that Peter looks at child porn. There was literally no point except to be gross and offensive. Family Guy is complete garbage

The last time I brought it up on FS I was told I started with the wrong ep.. It was the Paris Hilton one. It's just so crude and I hate all the characters and the graphics are terrible. Argh.

I dunno. I'll not get into the show's content and characters 'cuz that's a longer argument I don't have time for (you totally did start on the wrong ep, btw, but I'd have to think about a good ep to start with 'cuz it really depends on the viewer's temperament) but the animation is what makes the show for me. I like that it's simple and stupid and their fucking around with Maya is so blatantly obvious compared to the rest of the animation. It's a middle finger to all the other animated shows that on the surface have better technique but are really weakly animated.

I didn't think about SP in the contex of other animated shows. I've watched some Simpsons and that's it for me @ adult cartoons so I can't really compare. Well, I've also seen AtLA.
It's just not my type of humour I think.

Probably not. I like the mix of sharp political satire and Matt Stone living up to his last name. It appeals to me.

haha, I don't know a thing about politics, that might be a part of it.
