I mean, it would've been really sad, Ron's one of my favorite characters. But I pictured Ron in a big sacrifice scene to save everyone else - mirroring the chess game from the first book - and finally getting to be the big hero. It would've also been more effective because it would've really hit the audience. Personally, all the other deaths were relatively minor, so I didn't think they were that meaningful beyond the "aw. sad." but maybe that's just me?

I think that would have really sucked. It would have just made him seem like the second-rate disposable one.

I was pretty upset when Hedwig, Dobby and Fred died. Kinda figured Lupin would die, but I wasn't too happy about. I was surprised at Tonks dying and a bit mad about Teddy being an orphan. I hated all the student deaths especially Colin. I can't remember what teachers died besides Snape. I didn't hate that Snape died, I only hated that "loved you mum" bullshit. Ruined Snape's character and made shit creepier in retrospect.

I don't think killing Ron would've been a great idea, but I do like the balancing/foreshadow-y sacrificial aspect.

I was so angry that both Lupin AND Tonks had to die :|

And yeah, I also wish we'd gotten a bit more motivation from Snape beyond him loving Lily.
