Gay panic scenes are definitely up there.

More UK centric, but a lot of old shows have been tainted by the Jimmy Saville scandal and related arrests of other TV and radio personalities. My whole childhood is pretty much gone.

Noone apparently. :( And by covering it up like they did, now everyone from that era (who hasn't already been charged) is tarred with the same brush of suspicion.

Did you notice that the honours list that came out after the Saville scandal broke was mostly women? Bearing in mind that a) the honours list is usually full of male ex-DJs, TV personalities, etc, and b) it was before Operation Yew Tree really got stuck in, it makes me wonder just how much of an open secret it was.
