Re: What are you NOT looking forward this year?
(Anonymous) 2015-01-05 01:49 am (UTC)(link)January 6 - finding out whether my friend R has cancer or not. If she does, it's one of the nasty ones. If she doesn't, there's something else wrong with her that her doctors can't figure out. This has been going on for like a year and she just wants answers.
March 1 - (hopefully) moving in with R. She owns a house and is going to let me live there for extremely cheap. My commute is going to go from a peaceful 15 minutes on side roads to +/- 1 hour on the Beltway, BUT I'm going to save a huge amount of money and pay off a lot of debt by doing it.
Summer - Moving again, since R and her husband are trying to move cross-country and July is their target for getting out of their current house. R is my best friend in the area and the only person I hang out with regularly anymore.
Needless to say, the cancer thing could throw a GIANT wrench in all of this. And I need to wait until she says something b/c there's no way on earth I could say to my best friend "hey sorry you're sick and all, but am I still going to be able to live for free in your house?"
