While I am HUGELY excited for Avengers: Age of Ultron, I am bracing myself with what it's going to do to the fandom, especially in regards to shipping.

I'm bracing myself for at least one inevitable character death. I don't know much about the plot, but it's Whedon, and I'm dreading it.

My neighbors for over 16 years just moved out and I have no idea what the new ones will be like. I'm really worried about it because we've been here 30 years and I fully admit, we can definitely be the crazy neighbors.

NOT at all looking forward to Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I honestly wish Star Wars was over and I can't muster up ANY excitement for it.

I also won't be seeing it in theaters because as much as I love Mark Hamill, I refuse to give Harrison Ford any of my money.

Robots in Disguise 2015 is coming out sometime this spring. The first 13 episodes have been released in Chinese, and the English cast list has been revealed, and that's pretty much it. It's already starting flamewars. I shudder to imagine what's going to happen when it actually comes out.

A handful of smart adult women will innocently comment on the blatant sexism being something we need to get past, followed by drooling animals abusing women continuously until they go away.

Ugh, 2015 is going to be fucked up.

January 6 - finding out whether my friend R has cancer or not. If she does, it's one of the nasty ones. If she doesn't, there's something else wrong with her that her doctors can't figure out. This has been going on for like a year and she just wants answers.

March 1 - (hopefully) moving in with R. She owns a house and is going to let me live there for extremely cheap. My commute is going to go from a peaceful 15 minutes on side roads to +/- 1 hour on the Beltway, BUT I'm going to save a huge amount of money and pay off a lot of debt by doing it.

Summer - Moving again, since R and her husband are trying to move cross-country and July is their target for getting out of their current house. R is my best friend in the area and the only person I hang out with regularly anymore.

Needless to say, the cancer thing could throw a GIANT wrench in all of this. And I need to wait until she says something b/c there's no way on earth I could say to my best friend "hey sorry you're sick and all, but am I still going to be able to live for free in your house?"

Having to get a new car as my current one seems to be a loss

Moving. Lease transfer or cancelling. Claiming my bond back.

Gonna chat to housemates tonight, because they're not finding a place as fast as me but I do Not want to be stuck to this contract. So gonna have to ask if we can update the lease so I'm no longer on it and we can work the bond out after I move.

I just Do Not Trust the real estate and Do Not want to be on that piece of paper any longer than I have to (2 weeks longer than intended really)

In SFF, the Sad Puppies Party aka Cult of Zombie Heinlein got the New Year off to a rolling start by comparing Bryke to termites in need of extermination.
