i know what you're referring to and god, that entire discussion was bullshit from start to finish, and so was their "evidence". (which sort of makes sense when taken out of context - which is how it was presented - but only if you have no idea what's actually going on. if you know what's really going on, it becomes apparent that it's just grade-a bullshit.)

Too right, fellow anon. I care deeply about actual social justice issues (sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, etc.) so I'm hesitant to complain about social justice warriors. But when people do stuff like this and stuff mentioned above with no trigger warnings, it becomes a caricature of itself. You can campaign for equal rights without shitting all over other people who don't have as much social justice cred as you. And without making fandoms, which are meant to be fun, a hostile place for people to be.
