(Anonymous) 2015-01-06 04:14 am (UTC)(link)I kind of think that telling someone "you can do so much better" is really rude and annoying. I know in some people's heads it may sound all "noble" and "I have confidence in you" or something. But when it comes out its "I don't think this person is 'good enough' and who cares how YOU may feel about him". If that makes sense. But yeah , it's not as flattering as the people who say it like to think it is. Even when it comes from people we know.
