This sounds suspiciously like some PUA shit. That crowd thinks that by doing asshole stuff and establishing themselves as the "alpha" (i.e. by putting down other males around you and making them "betas"), your panties will spontaneously combust. I'm familiar with "negging" and yes, sometimes people try really weird shit like that with me, and my usual reaction is to tell them that I don't appreciate it and walk away.
