Especially if it involves a canon couple because if I LIKED the canon couple in the first place, I wouldn't be shipping an alternative couple. Inserting a relationship I don't like into one I do like doesn't solve anything.

Huh. It frequently does for me.

For example: Haven. I dislike Audrey/Nathan (the canon pairing), I'm pretty indifferent to Audrey/Duke, and I like Duke/Nathan. However, I absolutely love Audrey/Duke/Nathan; the OT3 actually works better for me than my favorite pairing within it.
