What bothers me in one fandom I participate in is the comments on hotness are all about "the bulge" and I don't find bulges particularly attractive. I'm a het female but when I look at a guy that's about the last thing that draws my attention in the attractiveness dept. Never liked anacondas much anyway. King snakes, now that's another story.

It's just kind of tacky, IMHO, to focus on that and not anything else.

I'd agree but then this happened, justifying all bulge commentary ever.

Aw, I'm disappointed. I was hoping you were linking to the spiderbulge thread from yesterday.

I don't generally keep track of bulges. What is spiderbulge? I'm picturing like, Andrew Garfield with a crotch full of tarantulas but it's probably not that, is it?
lb_lee: The Blue Beetle, Ted Kord, doubled over laughing. (bwa-hah-ha)

Nope, it involves A Clockwork Orange. Sorry.

That's not bad either. I must have seen that movie five times at least and never noticed.

I think the secret was disappointment that the Spiderbulge (now I'm gonna be singing that) DIDN'T make it into the move.

[identity profile] brandiweed.livejournal.com 2015-01-07 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
It's not part of the movie (which was, in fact, part of the secret). The night clubbing attire Alex and his droogs wear in the novel is VERY different from what's in the movie.

Anacondas don't want none unless you got buns anyway.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-07 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh, the only time I've ever even really thought about "the bulge" was David Bowie in Labyrinth, because. . .well.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-07 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Bowie's bulge should have got a screen credit in that movie.

It's hard not to, to be fair.
