The - Seven Swans? I think it's called. About the sister who has to remain silent until she's woven shirts of nettles to dispel a curse that was placed on her brothers. ~ She can't even speak up to say no to a marriage to a king, to motherhood, or even to defend herself from false charges that she's murdered her own children... until the very very last moment, when she's about to be burnt as a witch and the swans come to fan the flames away from her til she throws the shirts over them and can finally speak and tell the truth about everything.

That one has quite a few titles. Sometimes it's called The Swan Princess, sometimes The Swan Princes, sometimes other things entirely.

It's also the one I was referring to in my comment so high five!

I think I knew that one differently, where her brothers are turned into ravens. At the end, one of the shirts isn't ready yet, so her youngest brother is left with a wing for a hand.

Yeah, I think that's another variant - and yes, I do remember that the youngest brother wound up having a wing. (Which is just a fascinating detail to me for all sorts of reasons.)

Yes! One of my favorite illustrated books had a picture of just the brother with the remaining bird wing (in that version, a swan's wing that was also most of his arm). The image stuck with me because I didn't expect to actually see that specific story element, and it was drawn quite handsomely, rather than jokingly or even bizarrely.

Ursula Vernon did a short riff on this one that I like a lot, although depending on why you liked the original, you might not.
