Re: why is body shaming of some groups okay but not others

Would you feel the same way if it were a man broadcasting his displeasure at a woman being "too tall" to be attractive?

"Broadcasting"

I think that's it. You're allowed to find people unattractive, but it's a dick move to announce to other people "I FIND THESE PEOPLE UNATTRACTIVE, AND THESE PEOPLE ARE UNATTRACTIVE AROUND ME, POOR ME."

Yes, actually. He's not obligated to find tall women attractive. Now, if he started insulting people, or visibly expressing disgust, or trying to change her, or called her out by name on the internet, I'd have a problem with it. As long as he's not rude (or worse) about it, what problem would I have? No one is obligated to find any given person or feature attractive.

I'd probably call him an idiot for not agreeing with me that tall women are hot

Is it really "broadcasting" to make a post in a place where people (butthurt OP aside) probably aren't going to see it? That person has very few notes on all their posts. The post in question only has 2... I mean, I know that blogs are public and anyone could theoretically see that post, but some blogs are more public than others.
