Culturally, because people are often hypocritical assholes. Personally, I don't think it is okay.

Also, I'm not sure if that picture goes so far as "shaming" as to call her out. She's disappointed that the guy she liked is shorter than her, and that's all I see. She didn't insult him, she didn't say he should grow taller, or anything like that. She's just not attracted to short guys. Just from the context of this picture, I see an overweight girl complaining that they guy she was attracted to has a quality she finds rather unattractive, that being shortness. So, what? Are fat girls not allowed to be unattracted to short guys? Or did she do more than is depicted in this picture?

I'm not seeing any disgust of her face, only exaggerated sadness/disappointment. I think you're reading far to much into everything about that. And what is plural, not singular?

I've seen a lot of guys say "So, what? Are guys not allowed to be unattracted to fat girls?" as an excuse to express disgust and disappointment at them, too. I don't think this is any different or morally superior.

Okay, but I'm not seeing disgust on her face, so I don't think that applies here. I'm reading her face as expressing exaggerated disappointment at the fact that he's shorter than her, which I think is valid. Those guys are assholes because they're using their tastes as excuses to be rude. This girl, from what little I can see, is not. She's just expressing a taste.

This hypothetical man is not obligated to be attracted to fat women. If he doesn't like heavy girls, that's no one's business. How he treats them is what I judge on. It's perfectly okay to say, "I had a crush on someone, then found out they have a feature I don't find attractive, and now the crush is gone."

Now, I'll admit that I might be reading this girl's face wrong. The glasses make her eyes hard to see. But all I see is disappointment, which I think is okay.

For clarity's sake, what do you want me to see?

Eh, I don't really see it as broadcasting that. I mean, this girl is allowed to tell people her emotions and opinions. It's not like she's shouting "ew, short guys!" or even "I hate short guys." She's saying "I don't like when the guy I liked has something I don't like". It's not like she can force herself to become attracted to short guys, or make him taller, so now she has to lose a crush, which is disappointing.

I mean, it's teenagerish, but I don't think she's doing anything morally wrong.

Would it be different if she found out he smoked? I find smoking just gross, and don't get it at all, and any attraction I had to someone goes away completely if I find out they're a smoker. I get disappointed when that happens, because I lose that crush, which sucks. I'm not rude about it, and the only thing I ask of them is to not smoke around me. But I think it's okay to say, completely anonymously, "MFW I find out the guy I liked smokes." Is that okay?

I think I'm way over-invested in this, ha. I don't actually care, but I guess I just feel like debating.

Yes, actually. He's not obligated to find tall women attractive. Now, if he started insulting people, or visibly expressing disgust, or trying to change her, or called her out by name on the internet, I'd have a problem with it. As long as he's not rude (or worse) about it, what problem would I have? No one is obligated to find any given person or feature attractive.

Is it really "broadcasting" to make a post in a place where people (butthurt OP aside) probably aren't going to see it? That person has very few notes on all their posts. The post in question only has 2... I mean, I know that blogs are public and anyone could theoretically see that post, but some blogs are more public than others.

This. There is a difference between the things a person is personally attracted to and with equating those things as objectively better and/or insulting the person who doesn't fit them.
