Whole heartedly agree. There's little reason, creatively, for any go past five seasons and I'd say for most shows two seasons suffices.

AYRT - Oh, definitely. Some would even work just fine as one season. Especially if the show takes place at a school - either have the kids start off as ninth graders, have the seasons cover a semester if they're in college (though admittedly that could be harder to pull off if their aging was obvious), or just end it when they graduate. Otherwise you lose the entire purpose of the show.
