But... Walt Disney isn't the only worthwhile animated movie director in the U.S., nor is he the most skilled, either. He's just the most famous, so maybe the comparison isn't really that off the mark?

I'd still say that reducing anyone foreign to the most famous American person who did something similar is a disservice.

Like think about calling David Cameron the English Barack Obama.

Uh, are you the OP of this thread? Because if so, this is a completely different argument than the original comment. I don't disagree with it, but it's like interrupting a discussion about the apple-growing industry with "I DUN CARE I STILL THINK ORANGES ARE BETTER FOR BEING HIGHER IN VITAMIN C".
