Admittedly, one of the things I love about writing the way I do is that if someone's headcanon is that good, I can retcon it to be canon.

This has happened a couple times; most notably when one of my main characters ended up trans, which totally changed the direction his arc went in, but in my opinion, he ended up way more interesting and with more to do in the story because of it. And I didn't have to change DICK.
