Ooh, ooh, did someone say Tezuka? :D?

Tezuka was in my opinion the master of MANGA. He of course had a huge influence on the animation industry as well, but that wasn't his core focus. I've seen some of his anime short films and they were... strange. And at least one of them was actually pretty disturbing.

Tezuka influenced manga, which influenced anime by proxy, but I wouldn't call him the Walt Disney equivalent. He's kind of in a class of his own, because honestly, US comics doesn't have anything even SLIGHTLY resembling him. The closest you could get is Eisner or Kirby, and even they are put to shame by Tezuka's MASSIVE output.

Seriously, I don't know when that men SLEPT.
