ugh this happened to me with a fic I was writing. At one point, I had a character who turned into a dragon. Somebody came into the comments saying they wanted to do fanart of the dragon (yay!), and asked me what he looked like, and then said they imagine him as black with lots of frills.
I responded that I don't know about frills, but he'd be a silvery dragon and not a black dragon because it provides a bit less of an obvious target.
Her response was "yes but I imagine him black" and then made up something about how it would be 'easier' for him to be a black dragon because changing his scale colors would be more difficult.
And I was just like ??????????????????????????????????
I mean what do you even say to that.
