I don't get why you wouldn't headcanon someone else as asexual... Like, anyone else. The words asexual and Zevran do not go together.

Granted, if that's your headcanon then whatever, it isn't harming me, I just don't get it or agree.

I tend to think the DA fandom is toxic in that headcanons can't just be headcanons. Like people who RP non-binary/trans Lavellans calling out people don't include them in their own Solavellan headcanons, or people who get mad at fanartists for depicting Sera as she looks in game and not her "brown concept headcanon form".

It's all well and good to have a headcanon, and it's well and good to want representation for yourself. However, I think it's ridiculous to expect everyone around you to conform to your headcanons, or agree that your headcanons are totally feasible, especially when they are so counter to actual canon that you might as well just make an OC and call it a day.

I've not seen any of this behavior but this is one of the dumbest things I've read in quite a while. Every Inquisitor is different anyway, you can pretty much fill-in-the-blank with your character, why would anyone else need to 'acknowledge' it? And the fanart stuff is just baffling. If you like the concept art better than the final model that's perfectly fine, but why would you get testy with people not drawing it? (Most people do tend to go with whatever ends up canon, at least as far as character models go.)

They claim it's because they feel excluded from the fandom (because fandom is supposed to be all-inclusive, even if someone is just playing around with their own ideas), despite most of the biggest culprits having a lot of support from other people in their corner.

Feeling excluded from fandom does suck, but you can't (or shouldn't, anyway) hate on others because they don't like the thing you like the way you like it. Being hostile about it is just going to make people avoid it more.

No one is obligated to like anything...that isn't what fandom is about.
