So move to New Zealand.

New Zealand has the landscape but it doesn't necessarily have the, you know, curls of smoke rising slowly from the chimney of thatched houses, and old manors where eccentric old squires live, and going mushroom-gathering and then returning to the house for a great mushroom feed, and festivals on the village green, and generally the hallmarks of the Shire and the whole pastoral idyll thing.

I remember when I grew up in New Zealand going musroom hunnting, and there were some manors with eccentric people in them! I've been back a few places. You could still get a funny little house in a North Island community!

Or the British countryside. There are still some Shire bits left.
